Engine must be at operating temperatue. Look in the Instruction Manual for the Step by Step procedure describing how to connect the appliance to the fuel rail and other information.
Remove Gas Cap to releave tank pressure.
When the appliance is connected, add the cleaner to the canister, seal and set the operating pressure according to the manual. Start the engine and let the engine idle through the entire Stage One. When all of the cleaner is used, the engine will die. At this time remove the air intake boot and clean the throttle body with the 1514 Induction Cleaner. Replace the boot and put the Stage Two in the canister. Set operating pressure and start engine. Keep the engine speed between 2 and 3 thousand rpm by Accelerating and deceleratting. Continue until all of the cleaner is used. When Stage Two is complete, remove the appliance and reconnect fuel lines as before. Start engine and run for at least three minutes to clear air and chemical from the system. Be sure exhaust system is clear of chemical before using analizer. Add one can of 2012 Fuel Injector Cleaner (Tank Additive) to the fuel tank.
Reinstall the gas cap.
Alternate method of cleaning throttle body and Plenum. Remove air intake boot and insert the "S" Tool. Replace boot over the "S" Tool, keeping the spray nozzel centered and directed toward the throttle plate. Connect the long supply hose to the "S" Tool. Put a can of INDUCTOCARB in the canister. Start engine. Engine must be running on its own gas. Start increasing the operating pressure. As the pressure is increased, the engine speed must be increased to keep the engine from being flooded. The ultimate operating pressure for this procedure is 100psi. Accelerating and decelerating during this cleaning will enhance the cleaning ability. A good method of determining when all of the cleaner has been used is to let the engine idle with the operating pressure on the canister at 100ps.i. Remove "S" Tool and replace the boot.
